Ingredients
Green Tea – 1 cup (240ml)
Fresh Lemon Juice – 2 tbsp (30ml)
Ginger – 1-inch piece grated
Raw Honey – 1 tsp (5ml) (or substitute with maple syrup for a vegan version)
Mint Leaves – 5–6 leaves
Optional Add-Ons
Cayenne Pepper – ¼ tsp
Cucumber – 3–4 slices
Apple Cider Vinegar – 1 tsp (5ml)
Instructions
Brew the Green Tea
Boil 1 cup of water and steep 1 green tea bag or 1 tsp loose-leaf tea for 3 to 4 minutes
Allow the tea to cool to room temperature to protect the delicate nutrients
Prepare Fresh Ingredients
Peel and grate a 1-inch piece of ginger
Cut the lemon in half and extract the juice using a citrus press then strain to remove pulp
Gently tear the mint leaves to release their oils
Blend and Mix
In a blender combine the cooled green tea lemon juice grated ginger mint leaves and optional cayenne pepper Add a few ice cubes if you prefer a chilled drink
Pulse for about 20 seconds blend just enough to mix the ingredients without over-blending
Strain and Sweeten
Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove any ginger pulp
Stir in the raw honey until completely dissolved
